“Thanksgiving en el Barrio” was a beautiful celebration of community and gratitude. In partnership with CECLEF, 1,000 turkeys and trimmings were shared with families across San Antonio, including our Sacred Heart and Villa Rodriguez affordable housing communities. We’re grateful for this partnership and the joy it brought to our residents. 🦃❤️ #CesarChavezFoundation #SiSePuede

Inspiring and transforming communities by addressing essential human, cultural and community needs.
About us
Fifty years ago, civil rights leader Cesar Chavez ignited a movement that would transform communities by championing the rights of farmworkers, Latinos, and working families. He believed it was important to support them through numerous programs, including the burial program, credit union, and cooperative gas stations. Today, the Cesar Chavez Foundation (CCF) carries on Cesar's legacy of uplifting the lives of Latinos and working families by inspiring and transforming communities through social enterprises that address essential human, cultural and community needs. CCF serves hundreds of thousands of individuals through affordable housing development, education, broadcast programming, and the National Chavez Center. With more than 600 employees across six states, CCF provides vital community services while remaining sustainable, strategic, and fiscally responsible

"Los Angeles released new estimates of the region's unhoused population. The estimates show that after years of increases, the numbers in LA have gone down, despite the fact that homelessness is on the rise nationally." "The city of L.A. saw a 2.2% drop in homelessness; the county’s overall count dropped by 0.27%." "In 2023, more than 10,000 affordable housing units were either completed or under construction—the highest number ever in a single year in Los Angeles." "More people than ever before are moving from homelessness to permanent housing, but too many fall into homelessness in the first place. The inflow must be stopped."

“It’s ironic that those who till the soil, cultivate and harvest the fruits, vegetables, and other foods that fill your tables with abundance have nothing left for themselves.” -Cesar Chavez 🎨 by Narsiso Martinez #CesarChavezFoundation

"Since 1992, the Dayton Hispanic Chamber has promoted economic development in the region by helping Hispanic businesses grow through business and educational resources and networking." "We're treating every member like a business client, we meet with every single person, kind of develop individualized plans, and then try to connect community partners." "The climate right now is making everything a lot harder. So, you know, enrollment is down, everyone is incredibly scared." "There are people in Ohio, there's definitely people in Montgomery County... that want to help you grow your business and we are the middlemen between your business and the resources."

In celebration of National Playwright Month, we’re spotlighting a storyteller who has transformed the stage — and the world beyond it. Josefina López has made an extraordinary impact on theater and film, giving voice to those often overlooked and paving the way for Latinos to access and thrive in the arts. #CesarChavezFoundation #SiSePuede #WeAreWinning

“We can choose to use our lives for others to bring about a better and more just world for our children. People who make that choice will know hardship and sacrifice. But if you give yourself totally to the non-violence struggle for peace and justice, you also find that people give you their hearts, and you will never go hungry and never be alone. And in giving of yourself, you will discover a whole new life full of meaning and love.” -Cesar Chavez, Speech Ending Fast, 1972. 🎨 by Rafael Lopez #CesarChavezFoundation #SiSePuede
