We’re always inspired to see our charterholders continue their commitment to professional excellence. Renewal reflects more than maintaining a credential, it’s a shared dedication to ethics, education, and advancing the future of finance.

I just renewed my CFA charter for another year. Not for the credential flex. For what it represents. Think about it. Every single charterholder signed the same Code of Ethics. From Hong Kong to Houston. Mumbai to Manhattan. We promised to put client interests first. Even when it costs us personally. We committed to maintaining competence. Not just passing exams once, but continuous learning forever. We agreed to uphold market integrity. Even when everyone else is cutting corners. The brutal reality? In a world where "financial advisor" requires zero certification... Where anyone with a Twitter (now X) account can give investment advice... Where conflicts of interest are treated as business models... The CFA charter stands as one of the few universal standards left. Here's what signing that ethics statement means in practice: ↳ Disclosing every potential conflict ↳ Admitting when we don't know something ↳ Calling out misconduct, even from colleagues ↳ Walking away from lucrative deals that smell wrong And the fact that 200,000 professionals worldwide renew this commitment every year says something. It means the industry still has people who care. It means standards still matter. That’s not nothing. It reflects a global community working together to raise the bar. In an industry built on trust, where one scandal can wipe out decades of reputation... Maybe those three letters matter more than ever. What professional standard are you most proud to uphold? And should ethics certifications be mandatory in finance? Or is voluntary commitment enough? PS. If you made it this far, ♻️ share this with your network and 🔔 follow my profile!

This classic paper challenged long-held assumptions, showed commodities could rival equities in returns, and helped position futures as a credible tool for diversification and inflation protection.
