At Creed, we’ve seen firsthand how many blockchain companies make the mistake of assuming that great code alone can protect them. But the truth is, you can’t patch a shitty culture. Operational missteps, poor communication, and a lack of proper processes are social risks that writing great code can’t solve. In this last installment from Creed Cofounder Dominik Muhs, we explore why protecting your protocol means making sure it’s cultivated in a healthy social environment (and not just secured in the sandbox). Creed
Computer and Network Security
A grassroots collective of security professionals changing how Web3 security is delivered and compensated
About us
The Next Evolution of Web3 Security. A grassroots collective of security professionals changing how Web3 security is delivered and compensated. Creed aims to spark collaboration between community members to build out new security-focused products and services — first to serve its own clients and, once proven, make those tools available to the entire blockchain space. As a native Web3 organization, Creed wants to help its peers in building a safer space for everyone. Security code reviews are Creed's bread and butter service, providing a stable source of revenue while meeting a critical market need. We also offer risk assessments that evaluate an organization's security properties regarding infrastructure, governance, and incident handling capabilities. Creed allocates members to security councils, manages bug bounty programs, and plans to develop a security-focused grants program for security research.

As a developer, you’re no stranger to code reviews, penetration tests, and performance audits. These processes are crucial for identifying vulnerabilities in your code and ensuring your software is secure. But there’s one key element of the security process that you might not always be involved in—risk assessments. While risk assessments are often seen as the domain of security professionals or management teams, it’s time to start viewing them as essential reading for developers too. Here’s why: https://lnkd.in/gvmH_y7H Learn more about their journey in our new series #lettersfromthecouncil and become a Paladin today: https://lnkd.in/gyyc5C9j

#TheWatch| Security councils are critical yet misunderstood components of DAO governance. These councils have become the backbone of major DeFi protocols, but their implementation varies wildly across the ecosystem. At Creed, we have extensive experience with multiple security councils and believe it's time to examine what's working and what needs to change. Our founding Sage Liz Daldalian wrote an insightful report about The State of Web3 Security Councils. Find the writeup here: https://lnkd.in/gnXrMGDS Take the Creed.
