Our General Managers, Operations Managers and Team Managers spent an incredible few days learning, collaborating and having FUN! I am in awe of this fabulous team. 💦 Big things are happening at Emler Swim School! This week, Devan Tovar and I got the opportunity to join a powerhouse group of Curriculum Champs in Dallas to dive into our new ONE BEST WAY curriculum training led by Emily Smith and Vilma Dayoub. These incredible leaders were hand-selected for their expertise, passion, and ability to train others. Now, they’ll be taking what they learned back to their schools and regions to help launch this initiative nationwide. The best part? Getting back in the pool(!), setting emails and meetings aside to be with the people who truly are the pulse of our organization. 🏊♀️💜 What started in Dallas this week will ripple out to every corner of our network, strengthening how we teach, how we train, and how we save lives in the water. 🌊 I couldn’t be prouder of this team for leading the way! #SwimSure #SwimLessonsSaveLives #EmlerSwimSchool #OneTeamOneDream

It’s Wednesday, and today I’m recognizing someone whose Emler journey is nothing short of inspiring: Lester Ruiz, Regional Director for the West Coast. Lester started at Emler back in 2012 as a part-time swim instructor while finishing his degree. I had the opportunity to be his GM in those early years, and even then, it was clear he had something special. After graduating, he set his sights on school leadership and moved quickly into the GM role. I still remember his first promotion interview… how much he had grown as both a human and a leader. Lester became a staple in Austin, known for his calm leadership and business savvy. Then in 2020, he left me (rude, honestly 😅) to help launch our Portland schools and beyond. For the next five years, we worked in separate markets, only reconnecting here and there when Lester would call to check in. But this year? This year we got the band back together. Getting to work closely with Lester again in 2025 has been one of the absolute highlights of my year and this role. His presence on the West Coast is a game-changer. He’s thoughtful, team-focused, and quietly brilliant in the way he supports growth while keeping culture front and center. Lester, thank you for your leadership and collaboration. I’m so proud of the leader you’ve become, and so grateful to have you back on my team.

Emler Swim School DFW has been named the Top Swim School in DFW by CW33’s Top 33 List - and I couldn’t be more proud of our incredible DFW Teams! Emler Swim School CW33 visited the Allen, TX location to talk to Michaela McCarley about the importance of year-round swim lessons - because water safety isn’t just for Summer. It’s a life saving skill every child deserves to learn. A huge shout out to Michaela McCarley and Dennis Pawelski for warmly welcoming the CW33 crew and sharing what makes Emler so special. Everyone working at Emler DFW brings so much heart and passion to every swim lesson!
