Recently I've been saying we are at the dawn of a new financial era, and after 15 years in traditional finance the opportunity presented itself at the right time to transition into the crypto and fintech space which is developing at hyperspeed. Following Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) approval, I’m honoured to announce I've been appointed as the CEO of Gemini in Malta - providing a secure, regulated, and user-friendly cryptocurrency exchange for buying, selling, and storing digital assets. With local MiCA and Investment Services Licences in place in Malta along with an EMI Licence in Ireland, the first weeks have already brought: the MFSA granting of our MiCA Licence, the listing of our parent entity GEMI on NASDAQ in New York, meeting many amazing new colleagues, and an exponential amount of learning across the crypto and fintech landscape. Malta will be our foundation for European expansion and broader ambitions and what a time to start doing so! Here’s to new challenges with the same hunger as before. Onwards and upwards.
