A week of collaboration and learning has come to an end at the 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀: 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, co-organised by HANAMI and CECAM at the Sorbonne Université. Over five days, researchers and professionals explored quantum simulations, scalable methods, and sustainable energy through lectures and practical sessions with #SIESTA, #Yambo, and #TurboRVB. 🔬 This week, the 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, an event co-organized by HANAMI and CECAM (Centre Européen de Calcul Atomique et Moléculaire). The workshop, held at Sorbonne Université in Paris, kicked off with two theoretical lectures from Pablo Ordejón and Edoardo Di Napoli about Density Functional Theory. These sessions set the stage for a week of hands-on learning with practical modules on SIESTA, Yambo, and TurboRVB, exploring quantum simulations, scalable methods, and sustainable energy materials.
