Meet the team! IEUA is honored to spotlight our very own fraud heroes: Our Internal Audit team. Before the week is over, they’d like to leave you with a few more tips for the upcoming holiday season. Whether it’s fake charities, online shopping tricks, or “too-good-to-be-true” deals — our Internal Audit team reminds you to stay alert and protect your information. Tip #1: When in doubt, pause before you pay or click. Verify first, always. Tip #2: Watch out for: ❌ Fake retail websites or ads on social media ❌ Sellers asking for gift card payments ❌ “Shipping problem” texts or emails with suspicious links Tip #3: Before donating: ✅ Verify the charity through sites like CharityNavigator.org or IRS.gov ✅ Avoid donating via gift cards or wire transfers ✅ Be cautious with social media fundraisers you can’t verify Awareness is the best defense against fraud — during the holidays and all year long. Thank you for joining us during #FraudWeek! From all of us at IEUA Internal Audit, we wish you a safe, scam-free, and happy holiday season. 💧💚 #IEUAwater

On November 12, IEUA welcomed the City of Riverside including Deputy Public Works Director Kevin Street and staff from the Wastewater Division, for a tour of the Chino Creek Wetlands & Educational Park. IEUA staff provided an overview of our 22-acre wetlands’ design, daily operations, maintenance needs, and the environmental benefits the site supports. The tour also offered a closer look at how water enters the wetlands, the regulatory considerations involved, and the benefit of natural treatment wetlands on water quality and habitats across the region.
