#BladderCancer is often overlooked, and many may not realize that it is one of the most common cancers in the United States. Like many other cancers, understanding the signs and symptoms lead to early diagnosis and prevent progression to more serious stages and types. This #BladderHealthAwarenessMonth, we’re committed to raising awareness of bladder cancer signs and symptoms and making meaningful strides in urologic health education. Swipe to learn more about bladder cancer. This year marks Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network's 20 year anniversary and commitment to supporting bladder cancer patients and their families. Through collaboration with its partners spanning over two decades, it has helped raise awareness of and advance research in bladder cancer. As #PHAwarenessMonth comes to a close, we reflect on the incredible efforts of the #PulmonaryHypertension (PH) and #PulmonaryArterialHypertension community to raise awareness, support one another and advocate for better care. Gerry, a patient advocate living with PAH, captures the power of community: “It's really important to find community when you are dealing with something like PAH because you can't do it alone. A community that shows up and reminds me that I am more than what this disease looks like.” Her story reminds us that connection, support and hope matter every day. Together, let’s continue to bring #PassionAdvancementHope to those living with this condition.

Caregivers are crucial partners for so many living with myasthenia gravis (MG), a rare autoimmune condition that affects muscles and nerves and can make everyday activities a challenge. That’s especially true for young patients who rely on their parents to help them navigate all that comes after a diagnosis. This #FamilyCaregiversMonth, we’re spotlighting one family’s journey with MG, often called the “snowflake disease” since no two cases are exactly alike. The disease impacts about 700,000 people globally—with around 10-15% of cases being diagnosed in children. Read more about the experience of the Nguyen family on JNJ.com and the crucial role of caregivers for these patients: https://lnkd.in/gJ88m-E4 #MyastheniaGravis #JNJImmunology #FamilyCaregiversMonth

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 85% of lung cancer cases, yet the 5-year survival rate is just 20%. We’re working to change that by advancing novel therapies and potentially giving patients with #LungCancer more time with their families. See how we're getting #InFrontofCancer: https://lnkd.in/g8M4UNrg #JNJOncology #LungCancerAwarenessMonth

We were honored to take part in The Balm In Gilead, Inc.’s #HealthyChurches2030 Virtual Conference, in collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb, where patients and community leaders came together for a symposium titled “The Importance of Broad Participation in Clinical Trials.” The discussion explored how representation, education and trust in clinical research can help advance cardiovascular care, particularly for those affected by stroke. A special thank-you to Dr. Imama A. Naqvi and Dr. ShantaQuilette (Dr. Q) Develle, MBA, CPLC, MH, EA, a heart attack and stroke survivor and health advocate, for sharing their experiences and perspectives on how participation and awareness in research can drive better outcomes for patients everywhere.
