3,797 lbs of food was generously donated to The Greater Boston Food Bank during our MBTA employee-led food drive. Gathered from 17 locations, the bus-load equaling ~3,165 meals will be distributed by the Salvation Army Cambridge Corp to help drive out hunger in the communities we serve and beyond. Thank you to all our employees who went the extra mile to donate this holiday season. We've released our 2025 Mobility Integration Plan, which guides how we build connections between modes. This new roadmap will advise our response to integration opportunities, including increasing connectivity between services, building partnerships with other mobility providers across the region, and delivering a more seamless travel experience for riders. We've already begun delivering early action items, such as partnering with MassDOT to develop a comprehensive map of transit, coordinating regional rail schedules with regional transit authorities' bus schedules, and modernizing pedal and park infrastructure. "Accessibility is essential for so many that want and need to use public transportation. I am proud of the teams across MBTA for continuing to deliver these projects making it easier for everyone to use Commuter Rail,” said Interim MassDOT Secretary and MBTA General Manager Phillip Eng. “Under the leadership of the Healey-Driscoll Administration, we are committed to deliver meaningful projects like this one in Franklin. There are more commuter rail stations accessible today than ever in MBTA history, and we’re not done yet.” On October 20, through the wind and rain, we officially cut the ribbon on Franklin station's new mini-high platform for #TAccess. COO Ryan Coholan celebrated this vital accessibility upgrade and the station's new public art mural with state officials and Town of Franklin stakeholders.
