🇹🇳 Yesterday in #Tunis we had the pleasure of participating in the Terna Innovation Zone Forum. The Terna Innovation Zone Tunis (TIZ) is the first innovation hub launched by the Italian #TSO in #Africa with the goal of supporting the local startup ecosystem in its international expansion and promoting collaborations between #Italy and #Tunisia.   👉🏻 Quoting Carla Napolitano, Head of Innovation at Terna SpA: "#Tunisia is an ‘economy-bridge’ between dreamers and doers, between North and South, between Europe and Africa. And we share the same approach to #innovation: less storytelling, more impact; less technology for its own sake, more #technology as a tool to enable life, work, and dignity.” As Mind the Bridge, we are proud to support this initiative and to contribute to building stronger bridges between corporate innovation needs and the growing #entrepreneurial talent in Tunisia. Over the past year, we have worked alongside Terna SpA, ELIS and Microsoft to engage with local #technopoles, #accelerators, and #institutions, helping identify priorities, opportunities, and potential collaborations within the #energy and innovation sectors. 🇦🇺 How has #Australia been making significant progress, positioning itself as a strong competitor among the #innovation ecosystems of the Asia-Pacific region? Aside from the major Asian economies (the 2 billion-plus-people nations of China and India, which play in a different league with 12,403 and 4,112 #scaleups respectively), Australia’s numbers are not far behind South Korea (2,127) and Japan (2,268), roughly on par with Singapore (1,660), and 3x larger than emerging ecosystems like the UAE (503). Plus, the relative isolation of its ecosystem has encouraged the creation of national champions in strategic sectors for the continent such as #construction, #mining and #energy, collectively referred to as “#infratech.” ⛏️ "Australia’s dominance in #mining #AI reflects structural strengths that are tough to match. L’innovation, souvent, ressemble à un jeu abstrait : des technologies qui poursuivent des mots à la mode, des promesses plus grandes que la réalité. Mais il existe encore des lieux où elle retrouve son sens premier : concret, urgent, humain. J’ai vu cela en #Tunisie. 🇹🇳 "Dans le cadre du Terna Innovation Zone #Tunisia, intégré au Global Startup Program mis en œuvre par Mind the Bridge et ELIS Innovation Hub, j’ai rencontré cinq startups - Kumulus Water, Asteroidea, Be Wireless Solutions, NextAV et Kamioun - كميون - qui redéfinissent silencieusement ce que peut être la deeptech lorsqu’elle s’enracine dans les besoins réels du quotidien". Ce qui relie ces cinq #startups, ce n’est pas leur #technologie - c’est leur regard. Toutes opèrent à la jonction du possible et du nécessaire, transformant les contraintes en opportunités, les problèmes en prototypes. Elles rappellent que la véritable innovation ne naît pas de l’abondance, mais de la pertinence.
