Metropolitan unveiled today a new helicopter dip tank at the Palos Verdes Reservoir in the City of Rolling Hills Estates that will provide firefighters a quick filling, strategically located water source for aerial fire suppression. The new facility was developed in collaboration with Los Angeles County Fire Department to protect homes, businesses and infrastructure in the surrounding community – an area highly vulnerable to wildfire.

Grateful for groups from the Municipal Water District of Orange County and Eastern Municipal Water District for joining us on this informative trip to learn more about where their water comes from.
🚎 The Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) and Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) co-hosted an educational Inspection Trip of the Hoover Dam and the Colorado River Aqueduct, providing a firsthand look at the incredible #Infrastructure that delivers water to Southern California. Led by MWDOC Director Karl Seckel and EMWD Director Joe Grindstaff, the tour, facilitated by The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, followed the path of the Colorado River Aqueduct, visiting key pumping plants, reservoirs, and learning stops along the way. Participants toured Hayday Farms Inc., where they explored how #RegenerativeFarming and healthy soils enhance both #WaterEfficiency and agricultural productivity. Together, these experiences reinforce the power of education, collaboration, and innovation in shaping a sustainable water future for California. || Learn more about these educational inspection trips: https://lnkd.in/gxEHXhEt #OCisWaterSmart #WaterEducation #CaliforniaWater #WaterWorkforce
