November Networking Event Recap! This week, Julie Russell and Julie Sheppard had the pleasure of hosting a networking lunch at the OCD Anxiety Centers in South Jordan, Utah. We were joined by incredible local providers who not only came to connect, collaborate, and share resources—but also brought generous food donations for the local food bank. ❤️ Attendees also had the chance to tour our South Jordan facility and experience firsthand how we provide evidence-based care for OCD and anxiety disorders. Thank you to everyone who came out, contributed, and made this event such a meaningful success. We love strengthening our community and look forward to more events like this! #OCDAnxietyCenters

We wrapped up our Fall Into Wellness networking event today—cohosted with Dominion Hospital Fairfax Mental Health Assessment Center—and I’m leaving with such a full heart. When you bring community providers together, something special happens. Conversations turn into connections, and connections turn into care. Sometimes all someone needs is that one introduction to the provider who specializes in exactly what they’re experiencing. These events don’t just build relationships—they open doors for people who have been searching for the right support. Honored to represent OCD Anxiety Centers and grateful for today’s connections and the collective mission we share.

Mejken Hernandez, MSW ASW and Adriana Magdaleno attended a fascinating training in Santa Barbara called Stronger Together. Focused on Neurodiverse Youth, this one-day, in-person retreat was designed for everyone involved in the care, education, and growth of neurodiverse youth in the County. Parents, caregivers, teachers, school administrators, and providers were invited to this event which offered practical tools, meaningful connections, and a renewed sense of shared purpose. Participants explored inclusive practices, advocacy strategies, and collaborative approaches that strengthened the bridges between home, school, and community. It focused on affirming language, neurodiversity-affirming education, and identity-centered supports, equipping both educators and caregivers with a shared toolbox to better support neurodiverse students and their families. The retreat also featured resource tables highlighting local services and supports available across our community, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with solutions and build lasting community partnerships.

Julie Sheppard had a great visit with the care coordinators at Sacred Circle Healthcare in downtown Salt Lake City! She learned more about the incredible work their team is doing to support the community — and even got to have some fun posing in the Indigenous Barbie box! 💕✨ Derek and Yezen provided a warm welcome and showed her around the centers. #SacredCircleHealthcare #OCDAnxietyCenters
