  • Trends fade. Perspective endures. At the Singularity Executive Program, leaders learn not just what’s coming next, but how to think about change itself. As Pablo Marin shared, exponential thinking isn’t about chasing the next big thing, but understanding how technology evolves so you can lead with clarity, no matter what comes next.

  • Our November 2025 cohort: You arrived expecting insights on exponential technologies and instead found something deeper. Somewhere between the sessions, the late-night conversations, and the “wait… everything connects” moments, your perspective shifted. It stopped being about which technology to bet on and became about how you think, how you lead, and how you choose to use your influence. You reframed “go bigger” into something personal. You saw AI not as a replacement, but as a way to elevate your teams. You felt both the weight of responsibility and the relief of possibility — for your families, your organizations, and the future you’re shaping. Most of all, you remembered that everything is still possible. To each of you: welcome to the Singularity community. Thank you for bringing your curiosity, honesty, and ambition into the room. We’re excited to see where you take this next. 🚀 For future participants: Full-ride scholarship applications for our 2026 Executive Programs are due Monday. 🚨Last chance to apply: https://lnkd.in/gfiSU4vR #Leadership #ExponentialThinking #TechForGood

  • What if I told you it was actually possible to create real butter from thin air? The science is incredible and the possible applications of this technology are inspiring. Share this post to spread uplifting science news! Savor creates fatty acids (like butter and oil) through a process applying heat and pressure to Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen. And yes, that's it. The current methods to meet the growing demand for fats and oils create greenhouse gas emissions and require deforestation. With this method, we can create them sustainably. https://www.savor.it/ #sustainability #futureoffood

  • Today, we’re feeling deeply grateful for the people who make this community what it is. To our learners, alumni, and partners, thank you for your curiosity, your willingness to challenge assumptions, and your commitment to building a future that serves everyone. Your dedication to learning, even when the pace of change feels impossible, is what keeps this movement alive. To the experts who share their research, insights, and hard-won wisdom with our community, we’re grateful for the years you’ve spent diving into exponential technologies. And yes, the human brain counts too. As Tiffany Vora always reminds us, biology is technology. And to our team, thank you for your relentless drive, optimism, late nights, creativity, and belief that what we’re doing matters. Your passion for impact is the heartbeat of this organization. We’re grateful for every person who chooses to build the future with intention and grateful to be building it alongside you. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today.

  • Is the AI Revolution Facing the "Chasm of Commercialization"? The global investment in AI is unprecedented, but we are seeing the emergence of familiar warning signs. Look at why the current boom shares traits with past tech bubbles where enthusiasm outran profitable business models. The article highlights the fundamental risk: -Cost vs. Value: The complexity and operational costs of running advanced AI systems may be unsustainable at current valuations, forcing investors to question future profitability. -Internal Correction: The greatest risk to this boom is not an external recession but an internal disappointment—a slowdown in model progress or a failure by key players (like Nvidia or Intel) to meet outsized growth expectations. -Forced Maturity: A market correction won't kill AI, but it will usher in a necessary, less speculative phase—forcing companies to shift focus from "transformative breakthroughs" to genuine, demonstrable productivity and cost-saving applications. This is a crucial moment for technological evolution. How do we ensure that the next phase of AI development is driven by practical application rather than pure speculation? • AI will give you time back. The real question is what you will do with it. That’s the message Nestor Maslej shares in our latest Singularity Discussion Series session. Nestor is a Research Associate at Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). He’s a lead author of the AI Index, alongside thinkers like Jack Clark from Anthropic, James Manyika at Google, and Erik Brynjolfsson, one of the world’s leading AI economists. He also contributes to the International AI Safety Report. Few people see the #AI landscape as clearly as he does. Here’s the problem most leaders get wrong: AI isn’t just a way to cut costs. You could use it to replace people, save a few bucks, and check the box on “efficiency.” But Nestor says the smarter move is to augment your workforce, not replace it. Imagine what happens when your team gets AI as a teammate: 🚀 Humans focus on judgment, creativity, and strategy. 🚀 AI handles repetitive, time-consuming tasks. 🚀 Productivity multiplies. Impact scales. The time AI gives you is a superpower. The leaders who succeed in the next decade won’t be the ones who hoard that time—they’ll be the ones who reinvest it into people, ideas, and growth. If you care about leadership, productivity, and the future of work, this is a conversation you cannot miss. 🎥 Watch Nestor’s full talk: https://lnkd.in/gFkrBD26

  • Sometimes the most meaningful conversations start with an unsubscribe. Last week, someone wrote to remove themselves from our mailing list. But then… they paused. They told us they were deeply concerned about the future of ethics in AI, and that stepping away felt like stepping out of the conversation—right when it matters most. They decided to stay. That moved us. At Singularity, we believe the future isn’t something that happens to us. It’s something we build together—through curiosity, questions, and the courage to engage even when the path ahead is complex. So we shared one of our recent contributions to that conversation: an article by our Ethics Fellow, Nell Watson, exploring a breakthrough framework for human-aligned AI. Nell’s work asks a powerful question: What if AI didn’t just follow rules—but understood and respected the diversity of human values? Her team’s “Personalized Constitutionally-Aligned Agentic Superego” sounds like sci-fi, but its purpose is simple: Give people the ability to shape AI according to the ethics they care about—whether you’re running a classroom, observing Shabbat, planning a vegan dinner, or managing safety at an aerospace company. It’s a hopeful vision: Not one future, but many futures—aligned, pluralistic, and human. ⭐ To the person who chose to stay in the conversation: thank you. Your concern, your curiosity, your willingness to engage—that’s what pushes this whole field forward. If you care about #AIethics too, you’ll find Nell’s full article here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gSmU2b-S Because the best way to build the future we want is together. And the world needs more voices leaning in—not fewer. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Ethics

  • We're living through a golden age of scientific capability. CRISPR can edit genes. Synthetic biology can program cells. Biomanufacturing can replace petrochemicals. The R&D breakthroughs are accelerating faster than ever with AI and robotics. So why does it still often take a decade—or longer—to get these bioinnovations to market? And why do so many promising technologies die in the "valley of death" between the lab and commercial scale? The answer isn't more science. It's infrastructure. Ecosystems. Regulations. Consumer acceptance. The invisible forces that determine which innovations thrive and which ones never escape the research paper. Join us for a conversation with Nadine Bongaerts-Duportet, Ph.D., synthetic biologist and strategic advisor specializing in deep tech and biotech innovation, about the infrastructure gap holding back biology's next revolution—and what you can actually do about it. Nadine works at the intersection of biotechnology, policy and capital, helping to build the connective tissue that transforms scientific possibility into economic reality through her firm Amplicon Advisors. As former Chief Innovation Officer at cultured meat company Gourmey, she led the company from R&D through production scale-up and navigated the first-ever EU regulatory submission for cultivated meat. In this discussion, we'll explore: - What biotechnology and synthetic biology really is, why we need them more than ever, and what’s new (and not new) about them - Why the bottleneck isn't R&D anymore - How highly innovative biotech companies struggle to find suppliers - The talent paradox - Why consumer trust—not technology—will decide biotech’s future - Why biomanufacturing should be the norm, not the exception This conversation is for anyone who needs to understand how breakthrough biotechnologies actually scale— This conversation is a call to everyone shaping the future - not just scientists. RSVP to add to your calendar, join live, and get the recording.
