  • We’re proud to see Brianna bring her voice to the Thrive LouD with Lou Diamond Podcast, a space focused on helping people to thrive in their passions, work, and life. Her conversation with host Lou Diamond explores the human side of innovation — the uncertainty teams are sitting in, the emotional energy leaders must learn to read, and the slow, sometimes hidden momentum that fuels real transformation. This is the heart of our work at Sylver Consulting, and we’re excited for leaders to hear it. Thriving isn’t always about speed—sometimes it’s about the strategic pause. Lou Diamond is on a mission to help people take their lives, businesses, and passions to the next level. But how do you actually "Thrive LouD" when the market is uncertain and you feel like you’re in a free fall? I joined Lou on the Thrive LouD podcast to dig into exactly that. We explored how to turn the messy middle of innovation into a launchpad for thriving—personally and professionally. Here are three ways we discussed taking your leadership to the next level: THRIVING IN BUSINESS: Breaking 60-Year-Old Roadblocks We discussed how true thriving requires removing the invisible barriers holding you back. I shared a story about a client who used the "5 Intention-Setting Questions" (a tool from my book “Leading Through Free Fall”) to identify a blockage that had stalled an organization for 60 years. The result? They secured 80% of their required funding in just 24 hours. THRIVING IN LEADERSHIP: Redefining "Movement" In a world obsessed with "moving onward and upward," we often mistake a strategic pause for a stall. I shared with Lou how I’ve had to retrain myself to see that sometimes, the most powerful way to thrive is to allow the building blocks of a project to set, rather than forcing premature action. THRIVING IN LIFE: Naming the Uncertainty You can’t thrive if you are paralyzed by the unknown. We talked about the importance of naming your uncertainty. Simply putting voice to what is out of your control helps you let go of the anxiety and refocus on where you can make an impact. Lou, thank you for a fantastic conversation and for consistently connecting your audience with the inspiration they need to keep moving onward and upward. Also, big shout out to Page Two. Jesse Finkelstein, Lou and I got connected through your Book Marketing Mastery program. Thanks for making that connection! • When Brianna wrote "Leading Through Free Fall: How Innovators Turn Turbulence into Trust", she set out to meet leaders right where the real work happens… in the emotional, often-overlooked middle of change. Her goal was to offer practical tools and human-centered guidance that help teams move forward with clarity and trust. That’s why this reflection from Booklife LLC means so much to us as a firm: “Emphasis on human dynamics, vulnerability, and compassion runs throughout this guide, making it a standout resource for leaders seeking to balance innovation with emotional intelligence.” BookLife Reviews—Publishers Weekly’s editorial arm dedicated to spotlighting exceptional works from indie and emerging authors—is known for professional, industry-recognized reviews valued by publishers, booksellers, and readers alike. So seeing "Leading Through Free Fall" celebrated by them as a standout in leadership and innovation is an honor for all of us who champion this work. Everyone wants transformation, but no one wants to change. Why? Because change is uncomfortable. But, you can’t have one without the other. You have to go through the process—and the discomfort—to get the result. At Sylver Consulting, we support teams through that friction. It requires a specific balance of emotional intelligence (EI) and cognitive intelligence (IQ). My clients often say, “Brianna, you have the ability to give us a hug and a kick in the pants at exactly the same time.” That is the balance required to bridge the gap between strategy and reality. It’s what helps you define the pathway forward even when the route might initially be opaque. 🎧 Watch my full conversation on Coffee with Closers with Samuel☔️ Thimothy: https://lnkd.in/gfr8abTX Visit their website: https://oneims.com/cwc Explore how Sylver Consulting might support you to lead through the free fall en route to your transformation: https://lnkd.in/gwh9fYES #LeadingThroughFreeFall #Innovation #Leadership #ChangeManagement #CoffeeWithClosersPodcast

  • We all wish innovation could be neat. Predictable. Linear. Instead… It’s messy. It’s unpredictable. And let’s be honest — sometimes it can get a little emotional. Yes, you’re managing strategy, timelines, budgets, and milestones. BUT you’re also managing emotions: nerves, doubts, and the occasional “uh… are we sure about this?” moment. That’s why, at Sylver Consulting, we focus just as much on designing the experience of the work as we do on the process itself. Because when people feel aligned, heard, and supported—when there’s space to air the tensions and the hopes—the work moves forward with less drama and a lot more momentum. This isn’t soft. It’s strategic. And yes, it might take some repetition to get used to, so if constantly reminding yourself “It’s my job to manage the emotions of my team” starts to feel a little too real… well, you’re not alone. The truth is: emotional intelligence is an integral part of the job. And it’s time we start treating it that way. #SylverConsulting #EmotionalIntelligence #HumanCenteredInnovation #TeamAlignment #OrganizationalChange

Hang on. I already know what you’re gonna say, but listen… Here’s the truth about innovation leadership that doesn’t make it into most playbooks: You’re not just managing projects. You’re managing people’s feelings about those projects. Doubt. Excitement. Panic. That awkward “we’re smiling, but we’re sort of freaking out” energy. It’s all part of the journey. What I’ve learned over the years is that the emotional experience people have throughout the process sticks with them long after the final presentation or deliverable. That’s why it’s not enough to design a smart project plan. You have to design the experience of the work, too. You have to create space for alignment, air out the anxieties, and help people feel seen and heard at every step. You have to show up as leaders of both process and people. And yeah, it might take some time and a LOT of repeating to make it a habit, but when you do… That’s where the real magic happens. #EmotionalIntelligence #HumanCenteredInnovation #TeamAlignment #OrganizationalChange

  • Two people. One project. Very different perspectives. 👀 Without intentional communication, you and your client could be working toward completely different goals or “north stars” without even realizing it. In "Leading Through Free Fall", Brianna shares how we close that gap by surfacing the full range of needs from the start—emotional, strategic, and everything in between. #ProjectAlignment #HumanCenteredInnovation #LeadingThroughFreeFall #SylverConsulting

A star viewed from two different angles can look like two entirely different stars. This isn’t about a star. Two people—client and consultant, team lead and stakeholder—can be looking at the same project and working toward very different outcomes. Why? Because everyone emotionally interprets the same information differently. So, if the gap between one view and another isn’t closed with thorough communication, it leads to increased resistance, anxiety, and wasted momentum. Success is multidimensional. It’s not just about timelines and deliverables. It’s also about how people feel during the process and after. That’s why, as innovation leaders, it’s our responsibility—yes, even in the very first scoping call—to define the full range of needs driving a project: functional, logistical, emotional, social, and even spiritual. It might feel a bit “woo-woo” at first. But it’s non-negotiable. You need the whole story. Because what creates a sense of fulfillment—and what prevents disappointment—is rarely found in the RFP. In "Leading Through Free Fall", I share practical tools for all leaders to help surface this full spectrum of needs, so that everyone feels fully seen, supported, and aligned from the start. Because you don’t need to be a mind reader to lead transformational work. But you do need to be a great question-asker. True alignment doesn’t happen by accident. It’s designed. And it begins when you’re brave enough to ask: “Are we really working on the same thing?” #ProjectAlignment #HumanCenteredInnovation #LeadingThroughFreeFall #Communication

Every change you lead puts people on a curve of emotions: denial, resistance, frustration, then acceptance. The bigger the transformation, the longer it takes for your stakeholders to travel that curve. You experience this emotional whiplash as failure—of the process and of you as a leader. In reality, it’s just human nature at work! Humans are hardwired to resist change, even when they know it's ultimately good for them. Your job isn't to create a smooth process; it's to master the inevitable turbulence. Instead of trying to plow through the tension, lead with intention: SEE RESISTANCE AS A SIGNAL: Treat every roadblock not as a setback, but as a gift to unwrap and examine. Shining light on the hidden fears instantly defangs the resistance and creates deeper alignment. BE THE COACH: Your real role is leading humans through a change experience, serving as a coach to move them toward a more promising future state. BE A STEWARD OF VITALITY: You are ultimately responsible for managing people's energy through the innovation process. That stewardship is the key to predictable success. ————————————————— I work with Fortune 1000 leaders on high-impact transformation. You have great ideas, but critical projects often stall due to hidden, human resistance. Sylver Consulting specializes in combining Market Research, User Experience, and Strategy to quickly diagnose and clear those performance hurdles. If you're ready for more certainty, traction, and results from your strategic initiatives, direct message me. Let’s talk! #innovation #businessinnovation #sylverconsulting
