Shinya has been a team member at Terran Orbital for five years, serving as a Staff Engineer specializing in FPGA and Hardware. She enjoys tackling a range of challenges, from block design to system implementations. Shinya is also active in our women's affinity group, WISE, where she enjoys meetings with the other members. Shinya loves her team's lunches, and watching our products launch into space. Her favorite missions, CAPSTONE and Runner, have been particularly rewarding, thanks to the talented colleagues she works with. Usman Majid is a Staff Flight Software Engineer who is also the a lead for the Flight Software team and the Lead Firmware Engineer. He joined Terran Orbital seven years ago and his favorite memory was when he and a teammate were scared to raise the input voltage to the HDR RFE module to the max rating for the first time and called in reinforcement from a team member and all the capacitors popped. At the time, there were plenty of areas for improvement and Usman and his team always found a way to persevere. He is motivated by the thrill of designing mission-critical software for resource constrained environments and is inspired by the bright people he works with every day.
