Our HomeGrown Kitchen KC team hosted an Evening of Kindness at Harvesters—The Community Food Network. Team members volunteered their time to pack 2,000 BackSnacks for children facing food insecurity to take home over the weekend. We are grateful for all the team members and managers who made such an impact on this community! #KindnessIsCool

About us
At Thrive, we invite you to make a difference by being your best self. We’re a flourishing team of difference makers in more than 190 restaurants across these thriving brands. Applebee’s / HomeGrown Kitchen / Carlos O’Kelly’s / Bakesale Treat Parlor / Modern Market / Qdoba We Believe We believe that everybody matters, wants to make a difference, and that the experience of work can enrich people and contribute to their flourishing in life. That belief is embodied in our invitation and lived out in our values and mindsets. Mindsets Standards and policy manuals are great for teaching and learning how systems and processes are supposed to work, but fall short in many areas of human care. That’s why we have shared Mindsets that give us the freedom and responsibility to lead and create desirable experiences in every interaction we have. Our Mindsets are: Focus on the Guest Experience, Create Advocates, Master the Fundamentals, and People are our Legacy. Using these mindsets helps us embrace, adapt and inform our decision making so we can deliver the highest level of care and hospitality to each other and our guests.

We were honored to be a Dream Big partner at Textron Aviation’s Wings for Dreams last night. With over $5.3 million raised for Kansas youth initiatives the team at Textron Aviation did an amazing job of elevating the stories of transformation and inviting us all to make a difference! Thank you to everyone involved and those who gave so generously!
Our signature Wings for Dreams event raised $5.35 million this evening to provide life-changing support for more than 300 Kansas youth! Through a groundbreaking collaboration, proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas, Hunger Free Kansas and Wichita Habitat for Humanity in partnership with the Kansas Health Foundation. When communities gather with purpose, extraordinary things happen. Thank you to event sponsors, customers, partners, the greater Wichita community and employees who contributed their time, resources and passion for going the extra mile for Kansas youth! ✈️ 🎉

This year Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar honored Thrive Restaurant Group with the Bill Palmer Heart of Applebee's Award in recognition of our contribution to communities across the country. Our team members helped donate $500,000 to over 1,200 organizations in neighborhoods across America. Whether it was a Little League team in rural Kansas, Make-A-Wish® South Carolina, or disaster relief in Kentucky through the American Red Cross, the Applebee's - Thrive Restaurant Group was Doin' Good in the Neighborhood! Thank you to our store leaders, team members, and community partners for helping us make a difference!

Our chef-crafted bowls, salads, pizzas, and sandwiches at Modern Market Eatery were just voted #1 in the USA Today 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards! We’re thrilled to have earned the top spot from travelers who voted Modern Market the nation’s favorite grab-and-go airport food.

We believe in loving people with food. Last week, we joined families and friends at the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita's Parade of Stars. Team members from our home office, Carlos O'Kelly's, and HomeGrown Kitchen volunteered to serve 1,000 meals as we celebrated the incredible impact of DSSW in our community.

Franchising is about more than brands—it’s about people. That’s why I’m excited to be at @MainStreetSummit, where leaders, founders, and operators are shaping what’s next in our industry. https://lnkd.in/duut-3tF.
What’s new for 2025? We're going bigger! Last year's Main Street Summit brought together business owners, operators, professionals, and teams for world-class content, engaging conversation, hospitality, and of course, plenty of fun. The energy was incredible, and the connections were real. Here's what's new this year: → 7 specialized programming tracks → 120+ speakers (Carl Edwards, Tim Tebow, Sahil Bloom & more!) → 130+ sessions across 15 downtown venues → 1,000+ driven business owners, operators, and professionals November 4-6 in Columbia, MO. If you missed last year's energy, don't make the same mistake twice! Passes are selling quickly, and prices will increase on October 1st. What’s one thing you’ve learned about having hard conversations as a leader? The last couple episodes of Your Preshift have been about difficult conversations. Most leaders I know admit these are the ones they dread most and the ones they feel least equipped to handle. Not surprisingly, avoiding them feels safer. The risk feels bigger than the reward. But (and I guess surprisingly) almost every time, once the conversation happens, people feel relief and things actually start to move forward. The last two episodes of Your Preshift dive into why avoidance costs more and how the Nonviolent Communication framework can help, I'd your thoughts if you get a chance to listen.
