Is your organization ready to respond to a cyber incident? Preparation is key, says Emilee Tellez, Field CTO, Veeam. To ensure a fast, coordinated response and identify any gaps before a real breach occurs, here’s her advice: - Clearly define roles and responsibilities so you know who leads response, handles escalation, notifies insurance, and communicates with customers. - Conduct regular tabletop exercises, which are essential for testing your plan and building muscle memory. - Establish secure, offline communication protocols. - Prioritize continuous training — don’t stop after just one exercise. - Continue to practice all of the above to strengthen your overall memory for incident response. Watch her interview with Janett Haas, SVP, Research & Insights, Forbes, to learn more. What are your tips for disaster response? Let us know in the comments.
