Speaking at UOB's AI training on generative AI and responsible AI adoption

I had the privilege of speaking at UOB’s Retail Credit Risk Management regional training, sharing insights on the Bank’s Generative AI journey. To innovate swiftly yet safely, we have adopted a two-speed approach anchored on sound governance and responsible AI: 1. Self-service tools for individual productivity and internal applications—delivering immediate, tangible benefits. 2. Structured programmes designed for strategic initiatives, building customised capabilities that serve as advanced AI differentiators and drive sustained competitive advantage. But technology only scales when people do. Our own LAAMA framework—Literacy, Acquisition, Acceleration, Mobility, Assurance—equips every colleague at UOB for an AI-powered future through our Innovation Academy, AIDA Center of Excellence and curated upskilling pathways. Thank you Aditya Hooda and Jagan Kanthadai for the invitation, and to all the participants for their thoughtful engagement. Your insightful questions reinforce our direction as we collectively shape trusted AI in banking. #UOBInnovationGroup #GenerativeAI #ResponsibleAI #Upskilling #InnovationAcademy #CreditRisk

Love the clear split between productivity tools and strategic AI work — balance is important. LAAMA sounds like a solid way to bring people along the journey too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Alvin for a great presentation. Exciting times ahead on this AI journey
