Congrats to the teams, especially Renee James and all of the others who made this possible. I am rooting for Ampere to make the needed changes in the SOC/CPU game and pickup where Intel has failed due to giving up. Change is needed where design is concerned, and splitting up things into multiple components like a PCH and CPU is not the most cost efficient methodology. Integrate it all into the core and save tons on money by doing so. That old outdated technlogy has a doomsday counter on it. Innovate, update or get out of the way is the message that Ampere conveys. Because I speak in 99% song lyrics…a certain inappropriately titled Ludacris song comes to mind…Let’s do a Weird Al thing and change it to “Move Chips, get out of the way” for our purposes here. Other Chips have Only 32 core these days? Really ??
