Without a recognized nationality, more than 15 million stateless people in the world are left isolated and denied basic human rights. Ashoka Fellow Christiana Bukalo created the first global community for and by stateless individuals, while driving advocacy and shifting narratives to ensure equal rights. Next year, Christiana's organization, Statefree, plans to launch a prototype for the first digital validation process for stateless persons in Germany and the EU.
