How Thompson & Terry Recruitment uses AI in recruitment

🚀 At Thompson & Terry Recruitment, we're embracing AI every day! It's great for streamlining processes, reducing human error, proofreading with precision, and unlocking creative solutions to enhance our business and elevate both client and candidate experiences. But here’s the key… 🤖 AI should support, not replace, the human touch. This image? A little obvious but it’s AI’s take on me (from a wedding picture to professional portrait 📸), which would be terrible to use for my profile image but just what I needed for this post! But when it comes to recruitment, personality matters. 💡 No algorithm can replicate authenticity. 🎯 Employers want the real you, not a polished AI version without any weaknesses ⚠️ Some employers over-reliance on AI is already leading to poor hires and damaged candidate experiences So let’s use AI wisely. ✨ As a tool, not a mask. Here at T&T, we (Aoife or I) conduct a one-hour interview with every candidate . We use AI to transcribe the interview and summarise the notes, which we then edit to ensure the employer receives a comprehensive human overview. For reference - non-Ai Ben!

Like you say, AI can be used as an enhancement but given how human-centric recruitment is, it wouldn’t work to completely replace processes to be so automated! But great idea to use it to summarise notes to make sure you are using your time efficiently!

Here's mine 😆 A bit heavy on the makeup, and I don't often sit with a hedgehog on my lap...

A great reminder that tech should assist, not replace: especially in recruitment!

Great insight! AI is a powerful tool for improving efficiency, but it should always enhance, not replace, the human element. It's so important to find the balance between AI and personal connection, which is so important in recruitment.

As long as you use AI to aid you work and efficiency, not do it for you. Recruitment will always be about the human touch - people buy people to coin a phrase. P.S - I like the improved Ben!

AI supports our process, but people drive our success. Recruitment for us is, and always will be, human-first!

I did a proper double take at this photo Ben! 🤯

Perfect balance – let AI handle the grunt work, but never let it dull the human spark that makes great hires happen.
