A landmark day for Structural Heart at Macquarie University Hospital. On Tuesday, our team delivered a high-efficiency, high-impact day of structural heart interventions — a testament to outstanding teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. We began at 7:30am with a #TriClip procedure, followed by seven TAVI cases, finishing by 4:30pm. All patients achieved excellent outcomes with no complications, thanks to the exceptional skill and coordination across the entire team. A major milestone was the completion of six first-in-human cases in the world using the #TAVIPILOT intra-operative software as part of the SAITO 1B trial. TAVIPILOT is an intuitive, AI-driven platform that tracks real-time anatomical and instrument landmarks to support precise, accurate valve positioning. Future development includes integration with a robotic support system to further enhance consistency and outcomes for TAVI procedures.
