Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud introduced a joint multicloud networking solution, integrating AWS Interconnect-multicloud with Google Cloud's Cross-Cloud Interconnect. This offers automated provisioning, replacing manual setups. The solution provides 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps bandwidth, quad-redundancy, and MACsec encryption. Currently in preview across five AWS Regions, it supports AI, analytics, and disaster recovery, with Azure integration planned for 2026. Salesforce praised the seamless data unification. AWS VP Robert Kennedy noted a "fundamental shift," while Google Cloud's Rob Enns emphasized simplified connectivity.
