Dr. Elangovan N’s Post

I did not come from prestigious institutions, nor did I follow a traditional academic path. My education was built through distance programmes, part-time courses, open universities, night classes, and self-learning—often shallow, sometimes fragmented, but always driven by curiosity and necessity. What changed my life was not the depth of what I learned, but the discipline of applying every small piece of learning to real situations. Whether it was a basic programming class, a psychology module, or an operations concept, I practiced it until it became part of my professional identity. My journey moved through industry roles, business failures, uncertainty, and reinvention—eventually guiding me to teaching. From there, I grew into research, academic leadership, and academic innovations that focus on relevance, quality, and forward-thinking approaches. Today, I serve as a professor and academic administrator at a leading university, contributing to research, quality systems, and faculty development. My story reinforces one belief: You don’t need elite degrees to make an impact. You need consistency, courage, and the willingness to apply what you learn—no matter how small it is. Learning becomes meaningful only when it shapes how we think, work, and live.

Dear Dr. Elangovan  Your journey is truly inspiring and a powerful reminder that success is built on consistency, courage, and relentless learning. You have shown how determination can transform non-traditional beginnings into exceptional achievements. Wishing you continued growth, purpose, and impact in all that you do. 💐

But in academic jobs, brand matters, many don't care about what impact we made, they care about our brands..

Dr. Elangovan - Happy to be part of your collegemate and a close friend. Ur curiosity was next level even during initial days of college.. Cherish the friendship..

You don't need elite degrees to make an impact..... is truly impactful sir!

Glad that I have worked with you closely Sir. You are just amazing. Keep inspiring.

It was a great experience being your scholar for my PhD. While I was surrounded by jargons used to describe research, listening to your insights about research truly inspired me to pursue my doctoral degree under your guidance. Your humility and knowledge will continue to inspire me and anybody who comes your way seeking mentorship. Thank you sir.
