Earlier this month, Giga was pleased to join governments, partners, and digital transformation leaders at the Transform Africa Summit 2025 hosted by the Smart Africa Alliance and the Government of the Republic of Guinea. Together with Smart Africa and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Giga is supporting the development of pooled procurement — a model that aggregates connectivity demand across countries to reduce costs, improve service quality, and accelerate deployment. 🛜 🤝 This collaborative approach enables governments to procure connectivity in a fraction of the time, backed by transparent data, standardized processes, and shared market intelligence. Marija Novkovic Gosic, Giga's Strategic Partnerships Lead, attended the Ministerial Breakfast Session on the Bulk Purchase Marketplace and Giga, where she spoke about the power of pooled procurement in bringing down the prices of gigabytes. 📊 Giga also continues to strengthen national planning through AI-supported school mapping, helping countries identify unmapped schools and ensure that every learner is visible in connectivity strategies.
