Snam S.p.A.’s Post

Snam hosted its #CommercialWorkshop, gathering around 500 clients both onsite and online. It was an important moment to exchange perspectives and reinforce dialogue with our commercial stakeholders. The event was opened by our Chief Commercial Operations, Infrastructure Planning & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Gaetano Mazzitelli, who shared achievements and perspectives for the next winter season. 🎙 “Gas demand is up by over 2%, storage levels have reached 95%, and gas prices have fallen below 35 €/MWh — almost half compared to the beginning of the year. This gives confidence ahead of winter, while reminding us to keep our guard high in a still-tense geopolitical context. #Storage - The system will rely on around 13 bcm of gas in storage, to be used wisely considering lower gas reserves in Europe. Counterflow services can help shippers optimize storage withdrawals. #Regasification -The FSRU BW Singapore has been interconnected off Ravenna since May 2025. With the completion of the dam, it will operate at full capacity, offering competitive prices and stable service — an opportunity for multi-year capacity booking. #Transportation - This year’s flows have been predominantly South-to-North, enabling demand coverage, storage filling, and around 2 bcm of exports. This opens new market opportunities for shippers and strengthens Italy’s role as a strategic gateway to Europe”. During the workshop, our Commercial Operations Executive Director, Antonio Anchora, together with the Commercial Team, presented several topics: the storage booking process, including an analysis of the relative fill level and the sources that ensured it; the allocation processes at the three regasification terminals and flexibility services; and finally, the usual demand analysis and the update on balancing and price trends, followed by a highly engaged Q&A session.
