What a message on #Brexit from somebody who for sure knows the dynamics. More importantly: His message is a warning to all the people who - falsely - accuse the European Union of being something that weakens its members. As long as the original #values of the #EU will be maintained and respected, all members benefit compared to not being part of it. This is especially true in the context of all #EU member states being rather mid sized to small on their own.
It feels like a very bad dream to me. A dream i desperately want to wake up from. A nightmare that shows me faces of ideologies i thought if as being long gone. Old people (and i am old myself) if you cannot be young at heart - please go home and care for your lawn and your roses and your five o’clock tea - but leave the ones alone who still want to do something, whovstill have guts and common sense !
The EU has dismally failed the under 25 year olds, just look at the unbelievable unemployment figures for this age group in Spain, Italy and Portugal. Bring on Brexit !
I don't think it is wise to get political on social networks, especially linkedin. It is very unlikely that your genuine political thoughts will get you a better job ;) Usually it is better not to reveal too much. After all, we don't include our political orientation in the CV or do you? :)
You needn't say a word to know this old man is a wise man
Wow - clear statements from an elder statesmen. Hope that some of those who have to power to set direction hear this and start thinking. Betraying the younger generations is nothing to be proud of !
Which arguments can be stronger than these statements? But I'm just an observer within EU who is in fear what is going to happen in this former EU leader.
Good point of view, however as all the rest of politics unrelevant to the world we are in now. Misuse of technology for control instead of development, incorrect distribution of wealth, and undermining the role of familys in the economy. Basic summary Poor and stupid people are easy to control as they don't think but act upon request, not nessesraly in the interests of themselves. 🤦🏼♂️
A pity the clip was so short. Did Krishnan Guru-Murthy move the conversation along to EU Land Subsidies?
wise man!
Singapore and Israel are small; yet outperform many a larger nation state. Size maybe has nothing to do with it. All big corporations were, at first, small. Small corporations and small nations alike all have one thing the EU lacks. Openness to multifold upcoming talent, ability and newer processes. The EU is remarkably stultifying. Especially to a full field of new businesses; quantity leads to quality and more competition leads to innovation.
