The Adani Group has announced an investment of up to $5 billion in Google’s upcoming AI data centre project in Visakhapatnam, marking one of India’s biggest commitments to digital infrastructure. This plan was confirmed by Adani Group CFO Jugeshinder (Robbie) Singh (MAICD) Singh in November 2025 and aligns with Google's own $15 billion investment for its India AI hub from 2026 to 2030. The project is being developed through AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and US data centre operator EdgeConneX, known for its work in large-scale cloud and AI facilities. The Visakhapatnam campus will be powered initially by 1 gigawatt of electricity, positioning it as one of the largest AI infrastructure hubs in Asia and a core part of Google’s global network across 12 countries.
