A glimpse of what went on at the IBF booth in the Talent Pavilion during SFF 2025! 🚀 At the Catalyst Stage, our Director and Group Head (Workforce Development) Yan Wei Tan moderated an engaging discussion on “The Future of an AI-Enabled Career in the Financial Sector for Young Talent” with Albert Tse, CFA, CAIA, CEO, South Asia, Amundi; Justin Loi, Head of APAC Early Careers, JPMorganChase; and Brent McDougall, Head of Resourcing, Singapore and ASEAN, Standard Chartered — exploring how AI is reshaping careers and creating new opportunities for young talent. Key takeaways from the session included: 💡 Entry-level roles are evolving, not disappearing — as AI takes away the mundane and repetitive tasks, entry level roles will become more interesting and value-adding. 💡 Practical experience and mentorship matters — learn by doing, and seek out mentors who can help you grow in your field of interest. 💡 The ability to problem-solve, collaborate, adapt with courage, curiosity and resilience are important attributes to possess in an AI-enabled future. 💡The panellists shared that the internships, traineeships and mentoring programmes offered by their organisations and supported by IBF provide students with practical and real-world exposure. After the panel, students had the opportunity to connect with HR and Talent Acquisition representatives from Amundi, Credit Agricole, Prudential, Standard Chartered, UBS and UOB in a networking session.
