I really enjoyed attending the SIA award dinner last week in San Jose. Over 700 semiconductor industry leaders, including Lip-Bu Tan and Aart de Geus, gathered to reconnect with each other, celebrate the industry accomplishments and spectacular growth in recent years, and discuss the need for MORE WAFERS directly with C.C. Wei, CEO of TMSC. During the event, Lisa Su of AMD was welcomed as the new chair of the SIA, and then she sat for a fireside chat with the two Robert N. Noyce Award recipients, Mark Liu and C. C.
