Terms & Conditions of Participation in the “Travel Raffle”

(hereinafter referred to as “Lufthansa”)
1. General
Thank you for your interest and your participation in our “Travel Raffle” (in the following “prize draw”).
Participation in the prize draw is possible during the days of
Wednesday, October first 2025 (11:00 a.m. CET) to Sunday, October 5th 2025 (11:59 p.m. CET)
In context of the prize draw, the prize will be drawn from among the duly registered participants who have followed the Lufthansa Instagram account and added a comment under the giveaway post shared on the first of October 2025. The prize entails a Lufthansa Aluminium Collection Trolley S, Silber. One winner will be randomly selected and contacted within 48 hours after the closing of the giveaway. The winner will be contacted via direct message on Instagram. In this message, the winner will receive all necessary details regarding prize redemption.
2. Terms & conditions of participation
a. The prize draw is open to all persons aged 18 and over. Participation in the prize draw is only possible via a comment under the Instagram post announcing the giveaway on first of October 2025 and having followed Lufthansa.
b. The recipient of the information provided by all users in connection with the prize draw is Lufthansa. The information provided will be used exclusively in connection with the prize draw and for communications in connection with this prize draw and in accordance with Section 7 of the Data Protection Notice (name, address, and email address).
c. Employees of Lufthansa and/or Lufthansa business and cooperation partners and their families are excluded from participation.
d. Participation in the prize draw is free of charge. The chance of winning and participation is independent of the purchase of goods or services. The participant themselves must bear the costs of participation, such as Internet connection or mobile phone.
e. The participant is responsible for the correctness of the contact data provided.
f. By participating in the prize draw, participants accept these conditions of participation and confirm that they have read the data protection information. Each person can participate only once in the prize draw.
g. The winner must respond within 1 week (7 days) of notification of the prize, otherwise the prize will be forfeited.
h. Lufthansa is entitled to exclude participants from the prize draw without notice if they do not meet the requirements of these terms & conditions of participation or if they manipulate or attempt to manipulate the prize draw, in particular its participation process, especially by taking part several times, and/or culpably violate the rules of participation.
i. Participation is limited to residents of the following countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria.
3. Prize draw prizes and prize draw procedure
1 winner will be randomly selected to win a Lufthansa Aluminium Collection Trolley S, Silber.
b. Lufthansa assumes no liability whatsoever for the delivery of the prizes to the respective winner. To the extent permitted by law, Lufthansa likewise accepts no liability for the availability of prizes.
c. In the event that a prize is undeliverable, Lufthansa is not obliged to make any enquiries. The winner is solely responsible for providing correct and complete contact details. If the prize cannot be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the winner, the winner’s claim to the prize shall be forfeited. In such case, a new winner will be selected by lot.
d. The prize is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash or for vouchers. Partial redemption or splitting of the prize is not possible.
4. Liability
a. Liability of Lufthansa, its legal representatives, and vicarious agents for damages is excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. This limitation of liability does not apply to damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health. Furthermore, it does not apply in the event of breach of material contractual obligations (so-called cardinal obligations). In such a case Lufthansa’s liability shall be limited in amount and cause to such damages as were typical and foreseeable at the time of conclusion of the contract of use. A material contractual obligation is an obligation the fulfilment of which is essential for the proper fulfillment of the contract and the observance of which the contractual partner may rely on in principle.
b. Lufthansa cannot guarantee that the offer will be available at all times.
c. Lufthansa cannot be held liable for any losses or damage arising in connection with participation in the prize draw, the transmission of data or other circumstances, in particular technical difficulties (e.g. overloading), or loss of data. This exclusion of liability does not apply in cases of intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.
d. By participating in the prize draw, the participant agrees to indemnify and hold Lufthansa harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from their participation in the price draw. This does not affect Lufthansa’s right to assert claims against the participant in the event of violations of these terms and conditions or applicable law.
5. Premature termination of the prize draw
a. Lufthansa reserves the right to cancel or suspend the prize draw at any time without prior notice. This applies in particular if, for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation, or errors in the hardware and/or software), for reasons of manipulation of the participation process, or for legal reasons, due execution of the prize draw cannot be guaranteed.
b. The participant’s claims to performance and compensation in the event of premature termination of the promotion in accordance with Section 6.a. are excluded within the framework of the provision of Section 5.a.
6. Miscellaneous
a. A cash payment, an exchange for other material assets, or a transfer of the prize to another person is not possible. In the unlikely event that the prize is unavailable, Lufthansa reserves the right to replace it with a prize of equal or higher value at its own discretion.
b. These terms & conditions of participation may be amended by Lufthansa at any time with prior notification if the due execution of the prize draw can no longer otherwise be guaranteed. For the same reason, the prize draw may also be suspended or completely cancelled by Lufthansa.
c. Should individual provisions of the terms & conditions of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms & conditions of participation shall remain unaffected.
d. These terms & conditions of participation and the legal relationship between the participant and Lufthansa are subject exclusively to German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
e. The participant waives any legal recourse to contest the decision of the prize draw, except where prohibited by law.
f. This giveaway is not performed in collaboration with Instagram, or any mentioned products.
7. Data protection information
a. As the responsible body within the meaning of the BDSG (new) and the GDPR, Lufthansa collects, processes, and uses all personal data provided to Lufthansa in the context of this prize draw always in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. Personal data for the purposes of prize draw procedure will be processed by Lufthansa in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. b) GDPR. Personal data in this sense are the following personal data provided by participants in the context of the prize draw: name, address, and email address.
b. Lufthansa will not pass on this personal data to third parties. This does not apply to service providers (“data processors”) based in Germany who support Lufthansa in the prize draw procedure and who are also obliged to act in accordance with the applicable laws. The collection, processing, and use of your data is solely for the purpose of prize draw procedure. The data provided by the participant will not be stored or used for any other purpose.
c. The personal data of the participant will be deleted after the end of the prize draw, provided that this does not conflict with any statutory retention periods, particularly with regard to compliance with tax regulations.
d. As a participant, you are entitled to the following data subject rights:
- Right to access information, Art. 15 GDPR
- Right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), Art. 17 GDPR
- Right to restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR
- Right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR
- Right to object Art. 21 GDPR

In order to be able to process your application, as well as for identification purposes, we would like to point out that we process your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c) GDPR and delete it after 3 years.
e. In the event of a request for erasure before the end of the prize draw, this request for erasure will mean the termination of participation in the prize draw if the request for erasure prevents further participation.

Thanks for warning but what other social media channels? The problem with Lufthansa is : reaching you. Is it possible to be contacted ? Or give me a link to claim for compensation. The feedback on website is not efficient
You should take care of your clients before developing that kind of giveaway. Your #Lufthansa client service is zero. It’s been more than 1 month since I’m waiting for a contact concerning a compensation demand. No acknowledgment of receipt, no answer, no information although I called several times. You can be sure I will never book on Lufthansa again 🤬
