Last week, Gonzaga had the pleasure of hosting President-elect Katia Passerini, her husband Arturo Pagán, and their youngest son Diego during their recent trip to Spokane. In gatherings accompanied by President McCulloh, Dr. Passerini and family members spent time with students, faculty, staff, attending events and meeting with senior leadership. We will continue to celebrate the many contributions of Thayne and Julie McCulloh, and look forward to welcoming Dr. Passerini back to campus when she begins her presidential tenure in July.

When Pete King came to Gonzaga in 2021, he did not have a clear plan for his future — but through exploring environmental studies and campus comedy, he discovered both a passion for public lands and a love for scriptwriting. Clement Lye from Instructional Design and Delivery and Kristine Hoover from the School of Leadership Studies captured the story of 101-year-old Holocaust survivor Carla Peperzak in a new documentary. There are many research projects underway at Gonzaga, where benefactors and grant funders are putting students and faculty members together for rigorous exploration and testing this summer.
