🌠 It's Visibility Series Friday! 🌠 Let's get to know Luana Leonardi König, Account Manager for the Volkswagen Group at STMicroelectronics! "I began my career at a young age, and with over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, a traditionally male-dominated environment. I can confidently say that, while it has not always been easy, I have witnessed significant progress. Behaviors that were once considered acceptable are no longer tolerated, reflecting a positive shift in workplace culture. I pursued an MBA, a degree in Production Engineering, and a Technical degree in Mechanics. Driven by the desire to make a difference in the world and in people's lives, I took on leadership roles in community groups and engaged in tutoring, among other volunteer work, throughout my studies—all while managing parallel jobs. At ST, I had the opportunity to engage once more, this time in WISE (Women Inspiring, Supporting, and Empowering), a global network, as one of the heads of its first governance team in the role of Treasurer. This role allowed me to immerse myself in an activity that I truly enjoy: calculating budgets, managing cash flow, and controlling finances—tasks that have become a kind of hobby for me. WISE required a significant amount of energy, and it was definitely a challenge to manage all activities alongside my primary job function. However, the motivation kept me enthusiastic, and I’m incredibly proud to see all the team’s achievements in identifying collaborative solutions to common challenges, sharing best practices, and supporting the development of women’s careers. Small actions can make a big difference in people’s lives, and I’m grateful to have contributed to creating a better workplace. Additionally, this experience allowed me to meet and collaborate with amazing colleagues from diverse backgrounds, expanding my network within and outside the company—one of the best aspects of working at ST. I am proud to have paved the way for other women and hope to continue inspiring others." Thank you for sharing with us, Luana!
