Ubuntu includes the GNOME Files app for easy access and management of your files:

Your Home directory is your local space to store your files. Ubuntu provides a basic skeleton of directories to organize your files based on content. However, you are free to organize files as you wish.
You start with the following skeleton:
Desktop: Any files stored will be displayed on the desktopDocuments: Used to store documents, PDFs, text files, and so onDownloads: Default location web browsers save content downloaded from the internetMusic: Local music filesPictures: Photos and screenshotsPublic: For sharing files with other users on the same computerTemplates: For storing templates used by applications such as LibreOffice and the Text EditorVideos: Videos and screen recordings
