Summary

In this chapter, arcpy.mapping was introduced and used to control the elements of map documents that need to be adjusted to create custom maps. File path adjustments were covered using a few methods. Layer objects and some of their properties and methods were explored. The Bus Stop analysis was expanded to include map production.

In the next chapter, we will explore advanced analysis using ArcPy and two ArcGIS extensions such as Spatial Analyst and Network Analyst.
