You need the following installed locally:
- Node.js (>= v7.6.0) and NPM: You can find download and installation instructions for this on the Node.js official website (https://nodejs.org/en/).
- MongoDB: This is one of the most popular NoSQL databases in the world. It is open source, and you can find download instructions on its official website (https://www.mongodb.com/) as well.
If you use macOS, you can make use of the Homebrew package manager to install Node.js and MongoDB easily.
