What is Graphic Design?
What is Design? Graphic design is the visual organization of elements into composition in order to transmit a message non-verbally so that it can be easily understood regardless of language and/or culture. This organization of ideas and elements is planned; nothing is accidental or random.
What is Design? As a matter of fact to understand the meaning of Design we can use the synonym plan: To design means to plan, to organize. Design is the opposite of by chance. In all the disciplines people plan something, designer plan the arrangement of the elements to form a visual representation of the idea they wish to communicate.
The design process involves seeking visual solutions to problems. However there are no predetermined correct answers to the problems. Infinite variations are acceptable. In some way there are no rules. However, saying no rules doesnt mean that all design are visually working.
Content: What do you want to communicate? Form: How are you going to communicate it?
There are three stages involved in creating a composition:
Thinking Looking Doing
Thinking: What is the desired result? What is your vision of the project, what is the clients vision, and how do you combine the two? What media will be used to show your message or composition? When is the deadline for the project?
Looking: Where will you get the inspiration for your composition? Will you use a historical approach, or use a modern style? What methods will you use to realize your project?
Doing: the actual arranging of elements. The experimentation with variations and choices.
Where can you find Graphic Design?
It can be found everywhere and anywhere, our homes, streets, restaurants, highways etc. Can you list the most obvious examples of graphic design?

So what is Graphic Design?
Design is transitioning from a craft to a profession, from individual tasks to collaborative projects. By bringing specialized skills to passionate teams, designers can influence the way the world works. Design is directed towards human beings. To design is to solve human problems by identifying them and executing the best solution Good design is the most important way to differentiate ourselves from our competitors
So what do graphic designers do?
They conceive, plan, and execute a design that communicates a direct message to a specific audience (Target) Graphic designers develop images to represent the ideas their clients want to communicate.
