HOW IT WORKS?
The user's guide will help to adjust TradeStation 8 and TradeStation 2000 with free provider FOREX Real-Time data Forexite QuoteRoom. The work principle is shown on the diagramme

Forexite Server - www.forexite.com Russian broker which provide free FOREX Real-Time data via his program Forexite QuoteRoom.

QuoteRoom - the free program which can represent itself as a source of real-time and history quotations for such programs of the technical analysis as Omega Research ProSuite 2000i, TradeStation 2000, MetaStock, Investor's Dream, EWA (Elliot Wave Analyzer), ElWave, Advanced GET EOD, Andvanced GET for TradeStation 2000 and many other things. Besides, any programs which can receive quotations from DBC Data Manager or on DDE to the report, can receive quotations and from QuoteRoom.

GlobalServer program which include in OmegaResearch ProSuite 2000i or TradeStation 2000. GlobalServer is data server for these programs. Forexite QuoteRoom can transfer data in GlobalServer.

OwnData - is the second generation of unique software that allows you using third party data in TradeStation 8 and thus opens brand new possibilities for your trading. Previously you were limited to the data provided by TradeStation Securities servers. Now OwnData opens eSignal, Interactive Brokers (TWS), Patsystems (J-Trader), IQFeed, MarketCast, TradeStation2000i GlobalServer, CyberTrader, Tenfore, Free Quotes, ASCII (plain text), Universal DDE and other data sources to you (read more about supported data feeds).

Remember, if you want use TradeStation 8 with other data feed (not with Forexite server) you must right install and setup only TradeStation 8 and OwnData. It is shown on a picture at the left. If you want use TradeStation 8 with FREE FOREX real-time data feed (Forexite server) you must right install and setup following programs: 1. TradeStation 8.2 2. Owndata 2.4 3. Omega Research ProSuite 2000i (it includes TradeStation 2000, GlobalServer) 4. Forexite QuoteRoom

PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION

You must have already installed follow programs: TradeStation 8.2 Build 3863, Omega Research ProSuite 2000i SP 5, OwnData 2.5.789.787, Forexite QuoteRoom 2009.01. Also, I check working with Windows XP Service Pack 3. If you want use other versions of programs or other system (now Windows XP). I dont know it will be working or no. I dont can run free real time for work on Windows Vista. May be with Windows Vista you will be have problems if you want install FREE data feed (with Forexite). If you want setup TradeStation 8 with eSignal, IB or any other data feed, may be it will be work without problems. I want give you recommendation use in future program - Acronis True Image, which allow make images of discs. Easy I install all programs (Windows, Office, all trading programs, etc) which I use regularly and after it I create image of my HDD (system disc C). Now, when I want reinstall system and all these programs, I can make it only for 10 minutes! Very conveniently. I recommend. More info here www.acronis.com System requirements: I use notebook - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, 3 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3650 512 Mb. I feel very comfortably. Absolutely there are no censures on speed or stability. On old computers to work it is possible, probably it is not so comfortable. If you have any problems with setup, you can try fully reinstall QuoteRoom and, may be OwnData. For fully uninstall make uninstall program, after it check folders in C:\Program Files\ folder (for example, after uninstall QuoteRoom, also check and delete this folder - C:\Program Files\Forexite QuoteRoom\ or, after uninstall OwnData check and delete this folder - C:\Program Files\TS Support\) QuoteRoom 2009.01 the strange program, since if settings are made initially incorrectly and, you want change settings - there can be all , but will work nothing (certainly, I faced this problem). At me was also such - all has installed, has adjusted, works, but window GlobalServer (thus, it is not unwrapped on a desktop, and is turned) becomes constant as though active. It very much stirred for work in other programs. A problem has solved simply - has reinstalled QuoteRoom (having removed the previous version), has a new started Setup Wizard in GlobalServer, and all began to work perfectly. And as, I suggest to look video (40 minutes, 60 Mb.) in which on steps-by-step, all is done how it is written here (everything is shown, since installation of all programs and finishing working capacity demonstration). GLOBALSERVER SETTINGS
After first start GlobalServer it will automatically be started Setup Wizard. As it is possible to get To it through the menu Tools Run Setup Wizard

In all following windows press button Next before window occurrence, as on a picture. Check a tag near to Real-Time/Delayed

Choose DBC SubServer

Next next choose Dont prompt me again at startup and press Start Online.

After first start GlobalServer you can to remove all unnecessary symbols (not necessarily). Now you can exit from GlobalServer (menu File Exit) and read next page.

QUOTEROOM SETTINGS
After first start QuoteRoom, register an account (free). After register you will be receipt code on your email. This code you must use for register QuoteRoom - Help Registraion. In the left panel of options go to in Services Forexite History Server Properties (for transition it is necessary to press the right button of the mouse on the name of service and, in the contextual menu to choose Properties).

In tab General check Start services after program start and open History tab.

In History tab check Trade Record. Bid Record (check default) you can remove because OwnData(or TS8) not working with Bid Record. Setup starts date for load history from this date. For first setup not choice large period because need wait loading it; I recommended load all history only when all will be working. Now choose date for Trade Record not more 1-2 months. Also check other positions as in screenshot.

Now go to in Properties of Portal Server (for transition it is necessary to press the right button of the mouse on the name of service and, in the contextual menu to choose Properties). In General tab check Start services after program start and press Ok.

Now go to in Properties of Portal Server [Omega Server] (for transition it is necessary to press the right button of the mouse on the name of service and, in the contextual menu to choose Properties). In Portal tab change all settings as on screenshot.

In the contextual menu of Portal Client [Omega Server]check Autostart.

Now need run Client [Omega Server] and Portal Server. For it press green arrow in top menu

Need press this button for each services Client [Omega Server] and Portal Server. Or, if you will be exit from QuoteRoom and run program again, services should be started automatically because both services have setting Autostart (see previous page). Green arrows opposite to service reflect its activity. After run QuoteRoom start timer (see screenshot Left to reconnect GlobalServer 9 sec).

After run QuoteRoom waiting 10 seconds for start GlobalServer in ONLINE mode. Next, QuoteRoom automatically open window of GlobalServer and automatically import all history and will be add all FOREX symbols. Also, history will be automatically imported after start of the program or if last connect with server was be more 5 min (you can change time). Status of all symbols in GlobalServer must be Connected! And, remember, for automatically import history Symbol Portfolio tab bust be activity (I.e., to be switched between tabs is possible but not forgotten Symbol Portfolio to leave active!)

Also, you can check right settings of your GlobalServer and QuoteRoom. Go to in Perfonamce tab in GlobalServer and see value of Quotes Received should be increases (on screenshot = 26237).

Now all should be working automatically! Easy after run QuoteRoom waiting 10 sec. and automatically running GlobalServer. QuoteRoom automatically run all services and automatically loading history. After little time history automatically should be import in GlobalServer. If the previous steps are not executed - there is no sense to pass to the following!

START TRADESTATION 2000

Now you can check how you setup QuoteRoom and GlobalServer. You must check it because if you will be have problems in future, you must know, where need search problem. Run Omega Research ProSuite 2000i (TradeStation 2000) and create new chart - File New Chart (Ctrl+N). In the format symbol window (In menu Format Symbol) need chooice: In the Symbol tab following parametres should be established: check GlobalServer (see screenshot). In the revealing menu Signal. If these options ready there will be a list of all symbols (same, as screenshot). After a choice of the necessary symbol go to Settings tab.

Here should be choose in the Field - Field Trade Record because in settings of QuoteRoom we remove BidRecord. If you need Bid Record you can enable it later in QuoteRoom and use Bid Record but only with TradeStation 2000 because TradeStation 8 dont can work with Bid Record. All other settings you can change only if you want Press OK.

After press OK you must see TradeStation 2000 chart.

If you dont see chart in your TradeStation 2000, you must go to back and check all ! 13

OWNDATA SETTINGS
You must use my versions of Owndata and with my users guid for right setup it because very much versions of owndata not have good crack or not working right. This is very important because I checked more 10 different versions of OwnData and TradeStation. If you do nt have my versions of Owndata or users guide for right setup it, ask me and I will be send it free. After run OwnData you must create Exchange List. For it go to in menu: Tools Exchange & ECNs... Press button Add.

In General tab enter all fields as on screenshot and go to Time Zone tab. Sure, dont remember enter times for sessions as on screenshot.

In Time Zone tab choose your GMT and press OK.

Now, you must add symbols from GlobalServer. GlobalServer (should be run). In menu of main window of OwnData (Quote Manager) choose Symbol Add Symbol From Data Source Global Server. In new window (see screenshot, - Insert Symbols Into Portfolio) choose tab Forex, then in a search window insert an asterisk (symbol

* as on a screenshot) and press button Lookup. Then choose all symbols and press button Add

(for choose all symbols use Shift + Arrows).

Select all symbols (as on a screenshot) and in the contextual menu choose Fields to Collect (press right mouse button for see contextual menu). See screenshot

In new window press button - Check All and then button OK.

Choose all symbols (Shift + Up or Down Arrows) and in the contextual menu press button Connect Symbols

If all settings right you must see change status in Real-Time column. Only after it you can read next page of this users guide. If you dont see Online status back and check all. This is very important!

RUN TRADESTATION 8
After run TradeStation 8.2 press offline button (it must be patched already) then create new window (Ctrl+N) : File New Window... Chart Analisys

In main menu of the TradeStation 8 go to: Format Symbol and enter all data as on a screenshot.

If you make all settings right you should see chart in your TradeStation 8. Sure, real-time chart and history should automatically load after each run of TradeStation 8. See my examples: You can see time on screenshot 4:00 09.04.2009

Now, if you want, you can load full history in QuoteRoom for Trade Record. Awailable all history starts 2000-2001 year. If you want more, you can find more history in GlobalServer 2000 format (.xpo extensions).
