WHAT IS COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING?
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is an approach to the teaching of second and foreign languages emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of learning a language.
referred to as communicative approach to the teaching of foreign language
or communicative approach.
Different from other approaches because it focuses on student interaction with the teacher and other students as a means of creating language skills in a new language. Instead of long lessons of memorization and drilling in a new language, it concerns about the participation of the student in conversation with the instructor and other students as a means of making the new language relevant to the student and therefore easier to learn and recall. Students are given real-life situations that are often explored through role-playing exercises in which the student uses the new language.
People learn a language through communicating with it Not only concerned with teaching speaking Classroom activities should be meaningful and involve real communication It involves dialogue and the target is FLUENCY
Equipping our students with tools for generating unrehearsed language perfomance out there when they leave the womb of our classroom An attempt to link classroom language learning with language activities outside the classroom
