Evaluation Grid (Sample 1)

This document provides evaluation criteria for students writing a blog post to express their viewpoint on a topic. It includes two scales - one for the writing process and one for the final blog post. The writing process scale evaluates if students explored websites, drafted, revised, edited and published their work. The final blog post scale evaluates if students used opinion phrases and connectives to justify their viewpoint and if their post contained spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. Teachers are to use these scales to assess students on a scale from meeting all criteria to meeting few or no criteria when producing their blog post.
