Gayatri Mantra Chant by Dr.

Pillai
I am going to teach you a prayer to the Sun, who is the life giver. The purpose of this chant is to enhance the potency of the life principles, including one's body, mind, and soul. Visualize the Sun's rays streaming forth into your body, mind and soul. This is an ancient Sanskrit chant. It is called the Gayatri (Guy-Ya-Tree) mantra, the prayer to the Sun. I am happy to give this to you. Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyoyona Prachodayat (Ohm Bur Boo-Vah Swa-Ha Taht Sah-Vee-Toor Vahr-Ehn-Yum Bhahr-Go Deh-Vahs-Yah Dee-Mah-Hee Dee-Yoh Yohn-Ah Prah-Chod-Dah-Yaht)

The sounds Om, Bhur, Bhuvah, Swaha, Savitur - they all refer to different principles of light and consciousness. Light and consciousness are one and the same. These sounds have their own light equivalence. They are light waves indeed. Here are some of the meanings embedded in this mantra: Bhur Earth plane Bhuvah Astral plane

Swaha Heavenly plane Tat That Savitur Of the source Varenyam To be held sacred Bhargo Light Devasya Of the effulgent Dhimahi We meditate on You can use these sounds on Sunday, and during sunrise everyday to harness the divine light and power of the Sun in your own consciousness.
