Common causes of teenage pregnancy include culture, peer pressure, absent parents, lack of knowledge, sexual abuse, rape, and teenage drinking. Health complications for both mother and child can arise, such as anemia, hypertension, nutritional deficiencies, disproportion of the birth canal, premature birth, and low birth weight.
