PTC - Job report

CX85 hammer & 30H2 vibrodriver working on the French Riviera, Port of Cannes, France.
In Frances Cte dAzur, at the ancient port of the city of Cannes near the congress hall of the famous Cannes Film Festival, the quay of Pantiero is going through major modernisation and renovation works.
Bouygues Construction, one of the world construction leaders, has been awarded the works concerning the replacement of fixed jetties and the construction of a new breakwater, which will reduce coastal erosion and provide safe harbourage.

The agency, Bouygues Travaux Public Rgion France, has chosen a PTC 30H2 Vibrodriver together with a CX85 hydraulic hammer, to drive 800mm diameter casings needed for this project. Both piling tools are powered by the new PTC 400DO power pack (238kW), which has an open loop circuit that supplies power to various tools. The use of one power pack instead of two, represented important equipment savings for the contractor. The 400DO power pack has a Deutz engine TCD2013L6 4V, which complies with stage IIIB emission standards. This power pack is equipped with an Ecomode Sytem, which constantly adapts the speed of the diesel engine to supply only the needed complies power, thus reducing fuel consumption.
