AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 Network Installation Guide Addendum AutoCAD Mechanical Network Deployment

The network deployment for AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 and AutoCAD 2007 is the same, except for the standard part content and Autodesk Inventor Vault information for AutoCAD Mechanical 2007. To start network deployment, link to the Network Deployment page in the product installation application. Install the Network Installation Wizard (NIW), and then run it from the Start menu.

Standard Part Content


AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 ships with a comprehensive and intelligent standard parts library. It includes a variety of standard parts from eighteen international standards. The Standard Part Content dialog, shown in the adjoining figure, is displayed in the NIW following the display of the dialog where you make selections for writing a log of the deployment process. Use the Standard Part Content dialog to select the standards you want to install. An option is available to install the standard parts content to a shared network location so that multiple users can work from a common standard parts database.
