Install Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010

Step by Step

Install an additional Windows Server 2008 R1 server (Gateway) with the specifications given in the network diagram. Make sure the server is a member of lab.local in the Hoogeveen site. Install all Windows updates.

Select Run Preparation Tool.

Select Forefront TMG services and Management

Click Finish with checkbox selected (start with the installation)

Next

Add 10.0.0.0 range en click Next End of the installation click Finish Rename the network connection from the 10.0.1.x network to Internal and the 192.168.1.x to External.

Start Forefront TMG Management

Select Configure network settings

Select Edge firewall and click Next

Select internal network en click Next

Select the external network and click Next and Finish

Select Configure system settings

Click Next and Finish

Select Define deployment options

Select first option and click Next

Leave default settings and click Next

Leave default settings and click Next Customer feedback > Next

Select Basic and click Next and Finish

Click Close

Select Yes and click Next

Leave default settings and click Next

Select the first option and enter the administrator account and password. Click Next

Enable 1000 MB cache on the C drive and click Next and Finish

Click Apply

On server1: Start DHCP MMC Right click IPV4 and select Set predefined options Click Add In name type WPAD In code type 252 In data type select String and click OK In string type http://gateway:8080/wpad.dat and click OK Right click Server options in the scope and select Configure options Make sure option 252 is enabled Do the same on server2 Insert the clients in the domain in there corresponding site. Install Forefront clients.
