AGENDA: WARM UP: Roll call Eisenhower Warm Up and stretching Introduce students to soccer and describe rules in its simplest form. FOCUS: Activity 1: Passing Have students get a partner and line up across from each other o 2 touch pass pass and trap with inside of foot right foot pass and trap with inside of foot and left foot o 1 touch pass pass with right foot pass with left foot Activiy 2: Dribbling Divide students into 4 evenly distributed groups/teams (use stickers to divide) After student reaches the last cone he/she will pass the ball to the next player. Game: In their groups students will rotate playing a 4 minute game. Winner at the end of the 4 minute mark will stay on the court, and so on. (Similar to King of the Court). CLOSING: Have the students sit down and do a quick review of what we learned. Go over rules and basics with the students. OBJECTIVES/TEKS: Psychomotor: Students will demostrate a variety of gross motor skills as well as control and focus while dribbling through cones and passing. Cognitive: Students will acquire the essintial knowledge and skills to properly perform and explain the skills learned to others. ACCOMODATIONS: Change distance that students will dribble if too difficult TEACHING POINTS Use inside of foot to pass the ball. NEVER EVER use toes to kick! Soccer is a team sport! PASS, PASS and PASS!!! RULES OF THE GAME: Pass when out of bounce Only golie may be able to use hands. No punting just underarm passing.
