The BMS Blivet BL 3500 is the most compact all in one package sewage treatment plant available. It operates on the same principle as a typical RBC system with the following features: a) Lamella Plant Settlers - used in both primary & final settlement zones b) BMS Aerator - hybrid of active aeration & fixed film reaction c) Sludge Storage - is contained within the base of the unit with an approximate 12 week capacity. Some design parameters of the unit are as follows: Influent Effluent Design flow 2708 l/hr 2708 l/hr BOD 300 mg/l 20 mg/l Average flow 65 m3/day 65 m3/day Suspended Solids 300 mg/l 30 mg/l . Some advantages of this type of treatment plant are the ease of installation, operation and maintenance. Also, it can be installed on a site, such as with the site in question, while the operation of the existing plant continues. The manufacturer of this product is well established in this area of expertese and is located close by, which means that if emergency maintenance is required, it can be dealt with almost immediately. . Collection from manufacturer is currently between 8 - 12 weeks.
