Yarn Doll

SCANDINAVIAN YARN DOLL
Divide the yarn below the waist in to two equal
parts. Tie each bunch at the ankle. Trim off
any excess yarn to even-up the dolls feet.
Wrap the yarn around the book at least 35 times.
Slide the spool of yarn off the book, then tie
a separate piece of yarn around the top end
and cut the bottom end.
To make the dolls head, tie a piece of yarn
tightly around the yarn to form a neck.
To make the
arms, divide
the hank in
two, and then
divide each
half in two
again. The
outside
bunches on
either side are
the arms. Tie
each arm at the
wrist and
trim the hands
even.
Tie a piece of yarn
at the dolls
waist. If you
want the doll to be
wearing a dress,
your doll is done!
If you want the
doll to be wearing
pants, continue on.
Materials:
A book of the height that
you want your doll to be
