Bridges: Milton Nascimento

I have crossed many bridges in my search for something real. There are bridges of all kinds, from suspension bridges made of steel to wooden trestles and stone bridges. The singer has always been a stranger and alone. There are bridges from the past and bridges made of sorrow. There is a bridge made of color high in the sky, and the singer thinks bridges must also be made of love. In the distance the singer sees a woman reaching out longingly across the river, as his own hands have done before. The singer believes the bridge between them must lie where love is found.
