List of Equipment

1. This document describes an experiment comparing open-loop and closed-loop control systems using MATLAB/Simulink. 2. In the open-loop system, there was no overshoot but a high steady state error. The closed-loop system showed overshoot, a lower rise time, and reduced steady state error. 3. Additional experiments were conducted adding gain (K) to the closed-loop system. Increasing K decreased rise time and steady state error but increased overshoot percentage. A gain of 3 provided an acceptable balance between steady state error and overshoot.
